What started as a single sailing trip in the British Virgin Islands in 2017 completely changed the way we viewed travel — and honestly, the way we viewed life.

For the first time, we experienced the kind of freedom that comes with waking up in a new anchorage, setting our own schedule, and deciding where to go next based entirely on weather, whim, and adventure. We quickly realized we didn’t just love sailing… we loved the lifestyle that came with it.

After that first charter, we were hooked. What started in the BVI’s turned into charters around the world — from Tahiti to the Bahamas to the Southern Caribbean. Every trip taught us something new about the kind of boat we wanted, the type of cruising we dreamed about, and the life we hoped to build together someday.

Somewhere between late-night boat searches, endless research, spreadsheets, inquiries, and dreaming about faraway anchorages, the idea slowly became a plan. We saved, sacrificed, learned everything we could, and in 2025 we finally decided to stop talking about it and make it happen.

That decision eventually led us to Hoku — our 42’ catamaran, our floating home, and the beginning of our greatest adventure yet. 🌎⛵
